From Farhanah Azmi GUANGZHOU, Nov 13 (Bernama) -- Nur Suryani Mohd Taibi brought smiles to the Malaysian camp when she delivered the country's first medal at the Asian Games.

The New Delhi Commonweath Games gold medalist shot down the bronze medal in the women's 10m air rifle event.

Nur Suryani collected 501.8 points for the bronze behind two Chinese shooters - gold medalist Yi Siling (504.9) and Wu Liuxi (502.8).

Two other shooters - Shahera Rahim Raja and Nur Ayuni Farhana Abdul Halim collected 390 and 379 points respectively.

Nur Suryani is down for the 10m air rifle, 50m rifle prone and 50m rifle 3 positions (individual and team) events.
