Asian Games handball: India lose to Qatar in their second match

Guangzhou, Nov 14 (IANS) India went down 28-37 to Qatar in a men's preliminary Group A match of the handball event at the Asian Games here Sunday.

India's second loss in as many games has pushed them down to fifth place in the group stage. The team lost to China 21-41 Saturday.

It needed a special effort from India to win the match from being 8-17 down in the first half. But that never happened as the men in blue jerseys could score only 10 more goals in the second half in comparison to Qatar's 20.

India play Saudi Arabia in the next group tie Tuesday.
