Guangzhou: India won their sixth gold at the Asian Games when the tennis duo of Somdev Devvarman and Sanam Singh won the men's doubles gold by beating Gong M and Li Z of China 6-3, 6-7, 10-8 on Monday.
After losing the second set, Devvarman and Sanam came back brilliantly in the super tie-breaker to win it 10-8.
Earlier, Sania Mirza and Vishnu Vardhan had to rest content with a silver medal in the mixed doubles event of tennis competitions following a 6-4, 1-6, 0-1 loss to Chinese Taipei's Yung Jan Chan and Tsung Hua Yang.
Sania had won a gold with Leander Paes in the mixed doubles in the previous edition of the Asiad at Doha.
She won a bronze in the singles event here.
