Yang collected gold in the men's vault final with a formidable score of 16.400 points as China's Feng Zhe was forced to settle for silver with a score of 15.850.
But Li's four gold medals, which came team event, the all-around, the floor and the beam ensured China scooped gold in all six of the women's events and 13 of the 14 in total - albeit with Zhang Chenglong sharing the top prize in the floor exercise with South Korea's Kim Soo-Myun.
"These last two competitions have helped me learn to control myself better, especially on the balance beam, and to become less ruffled," said Li. "I think that will help me in future competitions to stay calm and less jittery."
While Feng had to settle for silver in the vault, he was not to be outdone in the parallel bars and he topped the podium ahead of Anton Fokin of Uzbekistan and Ildar Valeyev of Kazakhstan.
And Feng revealed it was a perfect birthday gift for him and his father with who he shares a birthday on Friday.
"I treasure the gold as the best present for my father's birthday," said Feng.
