09:34: Pakistan making heavy weather of their cricket match against Afghanistan. They need 126 to win, and are on 63 for 3 in 12 overs. They need 63 to win in 8 overs, a shade under 8 per over required. Not the time to panic, but a big over is needed rightaway.
09:24: Our old friend Ramya asks about possible Indian interest in rhythmic gymnastics. Ramya, there are no Indians in the fray.
09:18: Nicol David victorious, Malaysia gets gold in the women's team event.
09:16: Nicol beat Au Wing in ther finals of the individual event. She looks set to repeat the resuly here. Who will stop Nicol David? I demand an answer.
09:13: Nicol David leads 2-0 against Au Wing. Can anyone stop Nicol?
08:53: Must remind our readers that India has not had the best of it in wrestling. PTI has this: Indian grapplers' dismal show in the Asian Games continued with Mausam Khatri and Rajeev Tomar crashing out in the first round of the men’s fresstyle competitions here today
08:53: This is the women's team finals. Nicol against Au Wing. Nicol win the first game.
08:51: World squash champion Nicol David on court now.
08:31: Japan win 2-1 against India in sepaktakraw. India fought hard, and ran Japan really close. Lost in the tie breaker, but India have given a great account of themselves here.
In terms of skill required, I think sepaktakraw is one of the toughest sports around. Very difficult to compare sports, but sepak looks insanely hard to master!
08:28: On to sepaktakraw. Taking on Japan in a round robin game. 13-11 to Japan in the tie breaker.
08:25: India easily dispose of Japan in the kabaddi semis. They will take on Iran in the final.
08:16: 47-15 and India have pretty much booked a place in the final.
08:07: Getting a bit one-sided now. India proving why they are miles ahead in this sport. 33-7.
08:03: The second half of the kabaddi semis begins. India up by 20. 27-7. The Japanese have some fancy footwork, using their martial arts training to get a tag.
08:02: Jamesboy Singh finishes 8th in the Men's Canoe Single 1000m Final
Pakistan lost to Iran in the earlier semifinal.
07:58: India have opened a big lead now. 26-5 now.
07:45: 12-3 now. But Japan are no pushovers. They are making India work for their points.
07:43: Kabaddi semifinals now. India taking on Japan. India lead 7-3.
07:41: Nirmala loses on points in the elimination match. They were playing for a place in the quarterfinals.
