Smart Gilas National Team will have tuneup games On November 4, 2010 against Kuwait National Team. These games are designed to shake off the dust and to make their engines run as good as possible.
They are getting excited for the arrival of Kuwait national team on November 4,2010 because they want to be as ready as possible for the Asian Games in Guangzhou later this November.
Kelly Williams, Sol Mercado, and Asi Taulava have been doing great for Gilas. They are now the new leaders of the team aside from Dylan Ababou of UST and Chris Tiu of Ateneo.
Toroman said, “We need these tuneup games to measure the progress of the team with the PBA players. It will show the elements of our game that we need to improve on.”
The team have only less than a month to prepare for the Asian Games. If they will get the gold medal they will have a chance for a FIBA Asia slot. The Asian Games will be on November 12-27 2010.
Their first game would be against Saudi Arabia and it will be a do-or-die match in the opening level of the games.
The final 12 man line-up will be announced also on November 4,2010 as mandated by the Guangzhou Asian Games Committee.
