Report on preparation of National athletes to the Asian Games

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council, this morning consented to attend a meeting with the sports assessment and selection committee, athletes and contingents to regional and international championships.

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah was presented with a report from members of the committee on updates and the presentation for national athletes participating in the Asian Games in Guangzhou, China, in November. Assessment and selection of these athletes are based on their standards of achievement such as in fitness tests, discipline, performance and potential in the event they are participating. Brunei Darussalam will be represented by 9 athletes for five sports events: Billiard, Karate-Do, Wushu, Fencing and Equestrian. They are expected to leave for the games on the 8th of November. The meeting took place a the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.
