Guangzhou University students head to Shanwei to promote 2010 Asian Games

As the summer break begins, university students get the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice. On July 15, Guangzhou University sent an 18-student team to co-host city Shanwei to promote the 2010 Asian Games.
Shanwei will host the Sailing events of the 16th Asiad.
The 18 students will spend five days in Shanwei visiting sports venues, interviewing government officials, athletes, citizens and experts and reporting Shanwei’s preparations for the Asian Games.

Guangzhou University has set up 140 teams to be involved in social practices during the summer break, nearly a third of which will be dedicated to the promotion of the Games. It will also organise training sessions on Asiad-related services for student volunteers.
