Afghanistan announces squad for Asian Games

Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced its squad to participate in the upcoming 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou, China in November 2010.

Nowroz Mangal will lead the squad with Karim Sadiq named as his deputy for the Twenty20 matches included in the Games.

The full squad is as follows: Nowroz Mangal (captain), Karim Sadiq (vice captain), Mohammad Nabi Esakhil, Mirwas Ashraf, Hamid Hassan, Samiullah Shinwari, Noor Ali Zadran, Mohammad Asghar Salamkhail, Shahpoor Zadran, Khaliqdad Noori, Aftab Alam, Javed Ahmadi, Pamir Hussaini and Gulbadeen Naib. The reserve players are Dawlat Ahmadzai, Izatullah Suhail, Shabir Ahmad, Abdullah Mazari and Noorulhaq Malakzai.
