Exercises to guarantee security of Asian Games 2011 carried out in Almaty

Astana. June 18. Kazakhstan Today - The exercises to guarantee security of Asian Games 2011 were carried out on June 18 in Almaty, the agency reports citing the press service of National Security Committee of Kazakhstan.

According to the press service, the final phase of the republican operational and tactical antiterrorist exercises Korgau-Antiterror-2010 with participation of the forces of all power structures and emergency services was carried out on a high-mountainous sports complex Medeo.

"The exercises were organized under the aegis of the KNB Antiterrorist Centre to prepare the sports objects for Winter Asian Games 2011," the press service informed.

During the exercises, the Republican and Almaty city emergency centers worked through the staff decision-making mechanisms and cooperation of KNB divisions, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Measures, the Ministry of Defense and other state and local executive powers.
